Atom Wheels & Mantia Shine in West Palm Beach Challenge

The first outdoor event of 2011 went off without a hitch. This unique event held in Florida in the midst of winter is a real prize. There are very few outdoor events held in the USA and to have the opportunity to compete both bank track and road in the middle of winter makes this event appealing for all ages and abilities.

Whether you are 3, 5, 15, 25 or older you get to compete in your age group on one of the only bank tracks in North America. In two days you can skate several road and track events, gaining valuable experience that will reward those that stay with the sport and want to compete at a higher level.

It’s always a pleasure when skaters and spectators alike get to witness the world’s number one skater, Joey Mantia in action. Mantia’s first event in 2011 and back with Atom Wheels did not disappoint. His confidence is high, technique exceptionally sharp and most importantly he is excited about 2011. Mantia went on to win every pack race and second in the 300 meter time trial to World Champion William Bowen, (also on Atom Wheels).

“It’s nice to be back on my inlines. Both technique from ice and being back on Atom Wheels has me with a level of confidence I have not felt for a long time.” -Mantia
